New CareerCamp International Advisory Board Established

CareerCamp is now over 2 years old and we are starting to spread out wings in new directions.
After 4 highly successful CareerCamp unconferences in the Southern California area, it is time to start thinking deeply about our future. To that end, a new CareerCamp International Advisory Board has been created. Drawing on the expertise of previous CareerCamp co-chairs, this group will help to decide what CareerCamp International will become and how best to facilitate the expansion of CareerCamp Uconferences (and more) around the world.
Our Advisory Board Members are:
- Douglas E. Welch, CareerCamp President and Founder
- Anthony Michaelides – College of the Canyons
- Danielle Gruen – Living Careers
- Jennifer Oliver O’Connell – As The Girl Turns, Inc.
- Mitch Krayton – Krayton Communications
- Risa Rosenthal
- Rosanne Welch – Educator/Writer
One of the first tasks for this Advisory Board is investigating how best to incorporate CareerCamp International as a non-profit charity in order to best facilitate and support future CareerCamp Unconferences. We are looking into a variety of methods and hope to start this process quite soon.
Additionally, we are expanding our search for local CareerCamp Champions to organize camps throughout the world. Each CareerCamp is locally organized and supported and requires a strong “champion” to manage each event. If you are, or know of someone who is interested in organizing a CareerCamp in their area, they can contact us at careercamporg.gmail.com.
Finally, we are investigating new, related, services that CareerCamp International can provide, including career mixers, training classes, job boards and more. If you have an idea for a service or event that you think would be a good match for CareerCamp International, please send it to careercamporg@gmail.com.
